Research Administration Officer

The Role:
This position is central to the Centre for Eye Research Australia (CERA)’s continued success as Australia’s leading eye research institute.

The Research Administration Officer

  • Provides expert professional support in all phases of the grants process, working closely with researchers
  • Is the designated Research Administration Officer (RAO) for the NHMRC, ARC and other funding agencies
  • Is the executive officer for the CERA Research Committee, weekly internal research meetings, and occasional high level reviews 
  • Collates and analyses data about research publications output
  • Prepares management reports on grants and publications performance
  • Acts as the key liaison officer for grant and related matters for the University of Melbourne, the Eye & Ear Hospital and other inquirers.

Student Administration Coordinator

You will have the capacity to build and maintain effective relationships with a diverse group of students and be capable of working autonomously with high attention to detail. The Role:

The Graduate Research Coordinator  

  • Ensure high quality support and coordination to all prospective students, current students, and relevant external clients.
  • Coordinate and administer student recruitment, admissions, scholarships, resources and events.
  • High level policy and procedural advice.
  • Play a key role in CERA’s Graduate Committee.
  • Support non RHD (Research Higher Degree) students including Honours, Masters, AMS, summer placements, work experience.
  • Attend related meetings, functions, events and ensure currency of website material.

Biostatistician


$75,932 – 81,052 per annum

The Centre for Eye Research Australia is an inspiring place to work. We are always looking for new talent; both staff and students to join our innovative and competitive research teams in the field of ophthalmology and beyond.

The Population Health Unit and Macular Research Unit at CERA are progressive and energetic teams involved in a number of ongoing research projects. The primary focus of this position will be to:

  • Provide accurate analysis of data from a range of research projects.
  • Provide thorough consultation of analysis to the researchers.
  • Collaborate and prepare manuscripts based on the results of the projects.
  • Present statistical findings at national and international conferences.

We require an outstanding and highly motivated Biostatistician with a PhD in a health related discipline including a significant biostatistics component. A strong publication record is vital and an interest in working in collaborative research teams.
